Jasmine M. Jones is the Founder and CEO of Amir’s Angels where she provides birth doula services to birthing persons in her community. Jasmine is a native from Beloit, WI but currently resides in Madison, WI. Amir’s Angels is named in remembrance of Jasmine's late infant son Amir. Jasmine began her research of becoming a trained birth doula in 2019 after her second son was born. She then completed her doula training under “Doulaing the Doula, doula certification.” In 2024, Jasmine became a lifetime certified birth Doula under Doulaing the Doula. Jasmine also works as a breastfeeding peer counselor with WIC for Public Health of Dane County. Jasmine’s self proclaimed mission is to help combat the high mortality rate pertaining to black birthing persons and black infants in the United States. Jasmine made the courageous decision in 2022 to leave her full time job and fulfill her purpose by going full force with her own doula practice, Amir’s Angels.
Jasmine graduated from Western Illinois University in 2013 with a dual Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement Administration and Sociology. Jasmine has a diverse work background in juvenile justice, direct service in the non profit sector, retail, & restaurant industry positions.
Jasmine became a self published author in 2024, with a memoir her and her younger brother co-authored, about navigating family traumas, to push towards a future of healing. The non fiction book titled The Most Forgotten, (linked below,) has been on the Top 100 Best Sellers list on Amazon for the Civil and Human rights genre. Jasmine is utilizing her self published book as a guide to help heal and transform Black families nationwide.
Jasmine has spoke at events such as the annual Butterfly Ball, Remembrance walk in Dane County, Empty Stroller Walk and other community events. In 2022 Jasmine co led her own Empty Stroller walk in Beloit WI. The empty stroller walk is a walk dedicated to bringing awareness to pregnancy and infant loss. Jasmine is connected to organizations such as Connect RX, Foundation For Black Women’s Wellness, The Empowerment and Care Center in Rock County, and ECCHO cohort of Rock County. Jasmine has a deep love and commitment to her community. She works diligently and consistently to help provide better resources and opportunities for families in her community.
